Affordable Alley Homes

Interesting housing proposal by David Hill and In Situ Studio. They propose a eco-home zone in Raleigh, North Carolina, that would consist of small prefab houses. The idea is to enable younger citizens and smaller households to afford living closer to the city and thus avoid travelling by car. As a result these eco alleyways would encourage a more pedestrian friendly city.

The houses are delivered on a truck and assembled on site. Each household can choose which kit pieces their house will be made up off.
